The Sun shone and the children were ready for a fun filled day. Lisheenkyle were in charge of organising the events for all schools this year and we must thank them for a wonderful job. It was a fantastic success and everyone enjoyed their day. Our children performed excellently and gave of their best!! Special congratulatuons to Matthew Scanlon and Aaron Byrne who brought back some silverware.

This week marked a very special week in the calendar for Monivea National School. The children got to experience a wide variety of activities. A huge thank you to Paul Walsh and Gus Farrell, who gave of their free time so generously to the children of our school. The week started with football with Mr. O Donnell and Mr Costello with tag rugby. The children also availed of a variety of activities in the astro turf led by Paul Walsh and boxing with Gus Farrell. We also had a very special visit from the Ice cream Van which was very much appreciated by children and adults !!!
Thank you most sincerely to all the teachers and staff in Monivea for all their hard work in ensuring this was a fun filled week for all the children. A very special thank you to our Active School Committee, without which this would not be possible. They helped throughout the week with all activities and ensured all classes enjoyed themselves.
